Erying, a Chinese manufacturer widely known for selling pre-equipped mobile chips to desktop motherboards, has finally made the transition to Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake mobile CPUs as the company new releases the new mATX variants.
Erying Starts Utilizing Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake Mobile Chips, Budget Options Under $300 US
If you haven’t heard about the company before, Erying Technology is widely famous for retailing CPUs soldered with the motherboard under a large IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader). The company sells “BGA” packages, meaning that consumers can’t upgrade the motherboard in any way. While the applications of such products are limited, they are useful in cases where an average consumer wants a capable PC without worrying about the future and burdening his wallet.
Erying has released two new models under the “PCH B760M” branding, one equipped with the Intel Core i7-13620H 10 Core (6+4) CPU and a more budget-friendly Core i5-13420H 8 Core (4+4) CPU. Both motherboards feature a revamped look, offering a composite aluminum alloy VRM heatsink for optimal thermal dissipation. Moreover, the motherboards feature two DIMM slots, supporting DDR4 memory at 3200 MT/s.
The Intel Core i7-13620H runs at up to 4.9 GHz clock speeds while the Core i5-13420H offers clocks of up to 4.6 GHz. Both CPUs are rated at a base power of 45W but the maximum turbo power is 95 Watts for the Core i5 and up to 115W for the Core i7 CPU. Although the CPUs can support the faster DDR5 and LPDDR5x interfaces, the reason to go with DDR4 lies within the budget-friendly design of the offerings. Power is provided through an 8-Pin connector to the CPU and a standard 24-Pin EPS connector for the motherboard. The VRM itself is a 7-Phase MOS design. The motherboard also offers vast storage options, including two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots and 2 SATA III ports to connect your HDD/SSDs. Erying hasn’t made many changes in the I/O department from its previous offerings, featuring the usual 4x USB 2.0 & 2x USB 3.0 ports; 2 HDMI, and 1 DP interface.
Erying’s Intel Core i7-13620H PCH B760M variant retails at 1926 yuan / USD $266, while the Core i5-13420H one starts at 1472 yuan / USD $203. The motherboards will be available via the official Ali Express outlet of Eyring and the company has also stated that more models featuring the Core i5-13500H, i5-13600H, i7-13700H, i7-13800H, i9-13900H and the i9-13900HK will also join the family soon.
