The performance of the system is great and it has a big-screen designed with the NanoEdge display.
The design is also slim, sleek, and aesthetically stunning. Moreover features like Full HD display, lightweight, and portability make it easy to use and transport. It is the best deal you will get in buying a laptop with all these amazing features at a low price.

Storage & CPU
The ViviBook is powered by 4 GHz Intel quad-core i7 processor supported by an 8GB DDR4 RAM. The applications run seamlessly without any hiccups. Multitasking can also be done smoothly on this laptop.
The 802.11ac Wi-Fi supports speed up to 867Mbps which is 6X faster than the 802.11n. This helps in easy connectivity anywhere you take your laptop with you.
In this laptop, the hard disk combines the best of the SSD and HDD technology world. It is as fast as an SSD hard disk and has large storage as an HDD hard disk.
Booting applications and installing games is lightning fast on this laptop. Reading and writing files is also fast due to which the applications run efficiently.

Screen
The size of the screen is 15.6 inches with a 1920 x 1080p display. The laptop has a NanoEdge display which fits a 15.6-inch screen in a standard 14-inch laptop frame.
The full HD display creates vibrant and bold colors. The viewing angle goes up to 178-degrees due to the WideView technology. The screen is of high-quality and the images are crisp and clear while using photo or video editing software.
Gaming Performance
The VivoBook is not designed for extensive gaming. The laptop has an integrated HD Graphics 620 which is slightly faster than its predecessor, still, the gaming performance remains subpar. The low-end games that require less RAM and can run on low graphics setting can run smoothly on this laptop.
The keyboard keys have a soft feedback and a shallow travel. The keys are a bit light and the typing experience could have been better.
Also, the backlight could have been brighter for the keyboard. The touchpad is 10.5 X 7.5-cm in size and is very responsive without any jittering. The glide is sticky on the surface and the presence of fingerprint reader on top right corner hinders tracking the movement at that location. The overall quality of the keyboard and the trackpad is okay.
This laptop has limited connectivity options. It has one USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A port, and a micro SD card reader slot as well. The HDMI, 3.5 mm headphone jack etc. are other ports that are present on the laptop. The USB ports correspond to the 2.0 version. This hinders good connectivity of the laptop.
Software And Applications
The ViviBook is pre-installed with the Windows 10 operating system. All standard applications and software are installed with Windows 10 operating system.
Few of the high-end software can be installed on the laptop except the games or software that require more memory and RAM. All the casual and daily routine applications run seamlessly on the laptop.
The ViviBook has one fan instead of two, unlike other 15-inch laptops. Hence, the fan is always running irrespective of the load on the system.
But the noise level of the fan is very low and doesn’t pulsate while browsing internet or streaming videos. During gaming or heavy usage, the fan speed reaches the maximum level and the noise generated is still tolerable.
Temperature
The ViviBook tends to get hotter during heavy usage, especially the right half side of the notebook sees higher temperatures. This laptop is likely to run hotter as heat has to be dissipated from two processors.
The battery life is limited when compared to other competitors. On a single charge, the battery runs for about 5 hours on heavy usage, though charging the battery to full power takes only forty-five minutes which is slightly faster than other 15-inch notebooks.
Conclusion
The Vivobook is a very affordable laptop and it is considered as a budget-laptop with amazing features and super-thin design. Though there are some drawbacks in few features of this laptop, if our usage is limited to casual work or limited gaming then this is the best pick among laptops in its category.
