Intel is giving away Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Nightingale with the purchase of 12th or 13th Gen Intel Core processors as well as Intel Arc graphics cards and systems. The promotion is part of Intel Gamer Days, an annual event where the company offers exclusive discounts, experiences, and sweepstakes. The dates for this promotion are different for various regions, and it is unclear why Intel has decided arrange the deal this way.
Last year, Intel organized its Gamer Days promotion starting August 25, letting it run for 11 days. Intel products like CPUs, GPUs, and systems were discounted during this time and customers have the opportunity to win some rewards as well. The company has been hosting the event since 2018 and offering free games with purchases of its hardware previously as well. This time around, gamers will be able to own two upcoming games for free with an eligible CPU or GPU.

Intel Core i9-13900K CPU

The Intel Core i9-13900K is a high-performance processor that combines 24 cores, comprising 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores, with 32 threads. The processor comes with an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770. It utilizes a hybrid architecture that integrates two core microarchitectures, effectively distributing workloads to optimize performance.
This processor can reach speeds of up to 5.8 GHz and features a 36 MB cache. It is compatible with Intel 600 series and 700 series chipset-based motherboards. The unit supports Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0, as well as PCIe 5.0 & 4.0 interfaces for rapid data transfer.
Intel Gamer Days 2023 event will commence on August 24 and will go on till September 3. As part of the promotion, the company is offering two free games with eligible 12th or 13th Gen Intel Core processors and Intel Arc graphics cards. The two games are Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which costs $50, and Nightingale, priced at $30. Neither of the games have released yet, with Mirage coming out on October 5 and Nightingale going into early access soon. Gamers will have until November 30 to redeem their free games.

Interestingly, the newly launched Intel Arc A570M and A530M mobile GPUs are the only two graphics cards left out of the eligible GPU list. The two were silently launched earlier this month along with the latest Graphics Driver 31.0.101.4577, with support for the two new cards. The A570M features 16 Xe cores, 16 Ray Tracing units, 256 Intel XMX Engines, 256 Vector Engines, and 8GB GDDR6 VRAM with a 128-bit memory bus. The A530M, on the other hand, features 12 Xe cores, 12 Ray Tracing units, 192 XMX Engines, 192 Vector Engines, and options for 4GB as well as 8GB VRAM.
The dates for the promotion vary by region and gamers in the US can take advantage of the offer between August 24, 2023, and September 4, 2023. Those located in Canada can get the two free games between August 18, 2023, and September 4, 2023. Why Intel has decided to stagger these dates between different regions is unclear. It could allow the company to better monitor its CPU and GPU stock, as well as its promotional sales figures. The complete list of the dates in different regions can be found here.
Intel has also stated that while the purchase period is between August 11, 2023, USA Pacific Time to October 15, 2023, USA Pacific Time, the duration will be established by the participating sellers. The redemption period, however, is fixed between August 11, 2023, USA Pacific Time to November 30, 2023, USA Pacific Time.
Participating sellers will provide redemption instructions when users make the purchase. To redeem the free games, head to softwareoffer.intel.com and sign in to an account (or create one). Follow the redemption instructions provided by the seller to claim the free games. After agreeing to the terms and conditions, and completing the survey, users will be able to download the games.
