The mid-range iQOO Z series of Android smartphones’ latest iteration for the global market is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G and 8GB of RAM at the most. However, its upcoming flagship sibling might do better, and may even be touted by parent company Vivo as the highest-scoring MediaTek Dimensity 8200-powered device ever.
That claim would be derived from a new pre-launch leak onto AnTuTu with 972.222 points, touted by the benchmark’s blog as the best result for its SoC yet. Its CPU and GPU contributed 286,473 and 240,807 points respectively to the total, while its 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 chipped 221,449 points in, with the remainder of 223,493 coming from its Android 13-powered UX.
The apparent achievement is linked to the novel model number V2314A, which is what might have prompted AnTuTu to speculate that it will launch as the iQOO Z8 in the near future. It might thus rival the Note 12T Pro in its market segment, even though it may have a 120Hz display to the Redmi handset’s 144Hz.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
