A TRALEE man accused of stealing a laptop computer belonging to workers on the Imperial Lodge in Cork declared throughout his bail utility: “Principally, I had a foul day”.
Garda Raz Ghetau objected to bail being granted to Trevor Collins, aged 32, of Cork Simon Group, Anderson’s Quay, Cork.
The Garda mentioned it was alleged that CCTV was examined and Mr Collins was noticed going behind the primary reception desk on the lodge and coming into a again workplace earlier than leaving after just a few seconds.
“He then walked into the Sketch Restaurant, requested the supervisor the place was the bar. And as he was leaving, he picked up a HP laptop computer, valued at €500, and positioned it below his jacket and left the lodge,” Gda Ghetau testified at Cork District Courtroom.
Defence solicitor Eddie Burke referred to as on the accused to present proof. Mr Collins mentioned to Decide Joanne Carroll: “Principally, I had a foul day… I took alprazolam. I had a blackout. I don’t know the place the laptop computer is.”
He mentioned he wished to enter rehabilitation in relation to his dependancy. He mentioned: “If I can discover the laptop computer, I’ll. There’s solely three locations. It might be in my father’s, within the Simon, or in a lady’s flat that I am going as much as. I might like to carry it again. It was completely silly.”
