The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB, which was launched on July 18th, comes with upgraded memory and a higher price compared to its predecessor. However, it has not yet received any official reviews, and its availability is limited. Despite these factors, the RTX 4060 Ti is already being sold below its recommended price.
The main difference between the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB and its predecessor is the doubled VRAM. This means that for an additional cost of over $100, users can enjoy playing any 1080p game in Ultra without experiencing any performance loss due to lack of memory.
Although the price of the RTX 4060 Ti has been reduced by $30 in Germany, it is still considered unreasonable when compared to the starting price of the GeForce RTX 4070, which is 599 euros.
In contrast, the AMD graphics card, ASRock Radeon RX 6800 XT Phantom Gaming OC, is currently available for 539 euros at the German store Mindfactory. This card offers the same memory capacity as the RTX 4060 Ti but with a much higher bandwidth. As a result, it provides 26% more performance at Full HD resolution, 31% more at 1440p resolution, and 36% more at 4K resolution.
Despite the price reduction, only ten units of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB have been sold in 24 hours, with most of these units being purchased for reviews.
Overall, while the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB offers an upgrade in terms of memory, its limited availability and higher price make it a less attractive option compared to the AMD alternative.
