HOTWAV, a specialist for rugged outdoor smartphones, has presented its latest device, the Cyber 13 Pro. The new smartphone is not only said to be particularly robust, but also to be able to convince with an extremely strong battery, a lot of storage space and a 150-lumen flashlight – making it perfect for use in the field.
Rugged and enduring
In order to be used effectively in the outdoors, HOTWAV’s Cyber 13 Pro is not only robustly built, but also equipped with a particularly enduring battery. This ensures that it can be used for a long time in extreme environments without needing access to the power grid. HOTWAV not only relies on the usual strong basic construction for the Cyber 13 Pro, but also on IP68 and IP69K standards. This ensures that the phone is protected against water, dust and drops. HOTWAV gives some examples: Even in sandstorms and when submerged in rivers or lakes, the Cyber 13 Pro won’t let you down.
Relevant for the described robustness is not only the smartphone’s casing but also its display. HOTWAV relies on Corning Gorilla Glass, which is shatterproof. The Cyber 13 Pro even survives drops from a higher height without cracks in the display. It measures 6.6 inches diagonally and has a 2K resolution. Thus, it can easily provide first-class entertainment on the go: Even movies and games are displayed in an appealing quality.
The 10,800 mAh battery, which easily outshines its rivals, is responsible for the endurance. It is even stronger than the already far above-average battery of the predecessor models Cyber X and Cyber X Pro. With this enormous capacity, it is possible to move around for longer periods with a working phone even away from settlements. If the capacity is not sufficient, users do not have to stay too long at the socket, since the smartphone is equipped with a 20-watt fast charging function. The battery’s reverse-charging function is also interesting: The Cyber 13 Pro can transfer part of its enormous charge to other devices, which can be recharged on the go without access to the power grid.
Appreciative and well-equipped
Unlike many other outdoor manufacturers, HOTWAV makes it a point to ensure that its devices are not only rugged, but also aesthetically acceptable. For this reason, the Cyber 13 Pro is equipped with a fluted back that is a real eye-catcher. But that is not all: HOTWAV has also given the new model a strong basic configuration. For example, the device has a 64 MP Sony camera as well as a second 8 MP camera with a 120-degree lens on the back. Meanwhile, a 16 MP camera from Samsung is found on the front. This strong photo equipment of the outdoor smartphone ensures that unique natural phenomena as well as impressive landscapes can be captured at any time.
Meanwhile, the Cyber 13 Pro is powered by the UNISOC T619 processor, which has two large ARM Cortex A75 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz each, as well as six smaller cores with clock speeds of up to 1.8 GHz each. It is also equipped with an LTE module, dual-core ISP and the integrated ARM Mali G57 MP1 GPU. HOTWAV promises lag-free work at high speeds.
The processor is supported by 12 GB of RAM and an optional 8 GB expansion. According to the manufacturer, multitasking is no problem for the Cyber 13 Pro. Furthermore, there is 256 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to two TB via microSD card if required.
150 lumens provide clear view
The features of the new outdoor smartphone also include a 150 lumen bright flashlight, which also provides the necessary view in the wilderness. Combined with the powerful battery, the flashlight ensures that even longer night hikes can be managed without any safety issues.
The features of the Cyber 13 Pro are rounded off by a fingerprint sensor, which is located on the side of the case. It can be used to unlock the smartphone in no time at all.
